Our founder's experience at this facility

Elizabeth — a single mum who was going through a separation — says she was stopped from removing her belongings from her unit while fees kept building. She was trying to pay the account down, collect her goods, and stop the charges. Her child's toys, her business stock and her documents were inside. She says the manager she dealt with locally appeared to understand, but told her it wasn’t his decision. She says she escalated until she reached a national operations manager — who, in her account, also said he did not have the authority to release her stock, told her the fees would keep compounding until the account was paid, and said words to the effect that this is how they operate. Her offer, she says, never changed: release the goods — she understood they needed the space back — and she would pay the balance down on a payment plan. She had never missed a payment before this situation. The process left her feeling powerless, threatened and ignored — as if her belongings were being held to ransom. She is not saying anyone broke the law; this is her honest account of how those months felt from her side of the roller door.
